The MEAD Program welcomes East Feliciana High School, East Feliciana Parish School Board, and community to the family!

The Origin Story
How It All Began...
A Louisiana high school senior was accepted to a college and dreamed of being the first generation family member going to college after graduation. The scholarship only covered tuition. The only obstacle was obtaining a mode of transportation to attend. After maneuvering finances, the family was not able to financial afford any type of vehicle.
The graduate would have to give up the opportunity to attend college and get a job with the family. Graduation was nearing and there was no change in the situation. The student wept in my arms with great disappointment. The Ministry of Love worked to make the child’s dream a reality.

MEAD is a non-profit program that is motivating high school students to perform with excellence in academics and divinity. The purpose is to positively charge the learning environment of the students to encourage them beyond their surroundings and expose them to the possibilities of their greatest dreams. Our target student population are those of low-income families.
Recipients must meet the MEAD Scholarship Board's criteria of a 3.0 GPA, posses proven leadership skills, apply and be excepted to a four year college.

The recipents of this award will be afforded the opportunity to have reliable transportation to get to and from school, work and home. Please help us to make a child's dream of college a reality.
